Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Figures

Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), Gwalior, follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing.

Authorship

AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, MidJourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion) cannot be listed as authors. Human authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

AI Disclosure

Any use of AI for language editing, drafting, summarization, figure generation, or image enhancement must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript, including the AI tool used, its version (if applicable), the purpose of use, and the extent of human review and editing.

AI-Generated Figures

AI-generated or AI-assisted figures must be clearly identified as "AI-assisted" or "AI-generated for illustration." Scientific figures representing research data must be supported by original raw data. AI must not be used to fabricate, manipulate, or misrepresent research findings.

Editorial Policy

Editors may request original figure files, source data, or additional documentation to verify the authenticity of AI-assisted content. Failure to disclose AI usage or misuse of AI may result in manuscript rejection, correction, or retraction in accordance with COPE ethical guidelines.
