Abstract

The financial industry is undergoing digital change at unprecedented speed, which is fuelling the creation of scalable and secure architectures for FinTech startups, designed to accommodate distributed financial services and constantly changing customer experiences. Cloud banking in the modern era needs to be flexible in architecture, both in capabilities for enterprise integration, application delivery and across multiple regions and service environments. This study introduces a modular structure from what once was a backend APIfication to a cloud-native orchestration of the frontend. Enterprise API Gateways expose banking services with authentication, authorization, rate limiting and threat protection. Domain-oriented Micro-Frontends are then grouped as standalone deployable applications and deployed at runtime through orchestration. The relationship to edge delivery and regional API Gateways creates an integrated flow of execution across regions, always propagated securely. Using a Synthetic Global Bank Transactions Dataset, the proposed architecture achieves 137 ms latency, 3,390 requests/s throughput, 1.08% error rate, 96% deployment independence, and 98.1% security blocking rate. In comparison to the monolithic architecture, it has a 52.1% reduction in latency, an 86.3% improvement in throughput, 79.6% reduced deployment time, and a 69.0% reduced partner onboarding time. The results provide a scalable approach to designing digital banking modules.
