In this paper, a technique for improving the processing speed of medical imaging algorithms and the image resolution of the images produced by imaging techniques is proposed. Field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) can implement certain computational tasks, to get the highest performance. The purpose of this research paper is to discuss how this may be done to maximize the benefits of medical imaging in diagnostic and surgical procedures.
